He reads the letter more then once, again and again, and something breaks a little inside him. But this is what he wanted for Abraham, for the man to have a life, a life that was taken from him. But word of the child brings all the what if's back into his mind. The thoughts of Edeva and his child, what his child would have could have been. He would cry if he still had the capability for tears.
But he pushes those thoughts away to send congratulations, also, David need not see him in such a dark mood. He missed Abraham and it caused an ache in his heart at night. But he had love for David, a child he truly did view as his own.
Abraham, Congratulations, I have no doubts you will be a wonderful father, send word as soon as the child has come into this world. I expect to be kept informed.
